Terms of service

The fine print, in plain English.

The agreement between you and PracticaCPD when you use the platform. Australian law applies.

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account, signing in, or using PracticaCPD, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and DRAW Group Pty Ltd (ABN 40 630 049 599, ACN 630 049 599), trading as PracticaCPD(referred to here as “we”, “us”, or “PracticaCPD”).

2. What PracticaCPD is

PracticaCPD is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) tracking platform and content library for AHPRA-registered Australian health practitioners. You can log CPD hours, work through clinical modules with audits and reflections, and generate Statement of Completion PDFs.

PracticaCPD is not an accredited CPD provider with the RACGP, ACRRM, NMBA, or any other regulator. Statements of Completion are records you self-record into your own CPD home. We are pursuing accreditation as the platform matures.

3. Who can use PracticaCPD

You must be 18 or older and either AHPRA-registered, working toward AHPRA registration, or otherwise involved in continuing professional development for healthcare. By creating an account, you confirm the registration details you provide (name, profession, AHPRA number) are accurate.

You can't share your account with anyone else. Sign-in is tied to your personal email, and each Statement of Completion is generated against your AHPRA number.

4. Your account, your responsibility

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email and, if enabled, your 2FA codes secure. Tell us as soon as possible if you think someone else has accessed your account — email support@practicacpd.com.au.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you put into PracticaCPD (CPD activities, reflections, audit data). Statements of Completion are only as accurate as the data you provide.

5. Subscriptions and billing

PracticaCPD Free is free forever for the features described on the Pricing page.

PracticaCPD Pro is a subscription that renews automatically each month (or year, if you choose annual billing) until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in Australian dollars, GST inclusive.

You can cancel any time from your Account page. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't pro-rate refunds for cancellation mid-period, except as described below.

Refunds:if PracticaCPD isn't what you expected, email support@practicacpd.com.au within 14 days of first subscribing and we'll refund the current period. After 14 days we cancel for the next period rather than refunding the current one. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

We may change pricing for new subscription periods. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change takes effect.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account with anyone else, or sell or transfer your account
  • Copy, distribute, republish, or resell PracticaCPD module content outside your own personal CPD record
  • Use PracticaCPD content to train, fine-tune, or build other AI or software products
  • Reverse-engineer the platform, scrape it programmatically, or interfere with how it works for other users
  • Upload material that infringes someone else's copyright, breaches confidentiality, or contains patient identifiers
  • Use PracticaCPD for anything unlawful

7. Intellectual property

Module content (text, cases, audits, quiz questions) is owned by PracticaCPD or its content authors and licensed to you for personal CPD use only. A Pro subscription gives you access to it; it doesn't transfer ownership.

Your reflections, your activity log, your uploaded evidence, and your generated Statements of Completion remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to store and display them back to you, and to include them in Statements of Completion you generate.

8. Modules are educational, not clinical advice

PracticaCPD modules describe current best-practice approaches to common Australian primary-care presentations, with references. They are educational material intended to inform clinical reasoning — they are not a substitute for clinical judgement, the specifics of any individual patient presentation, or current local guidelines at the time of care. You remain responsible for your own clinical decisions.

9. Data privacy

How we handle personal information is covered in our Privacy Policy. PracticaCPD does not request, store, or transmit patient identifiers — your Measuring Outcomes audits run offline in your own EMR using docx templates that you download.

10. Service availability

We aim to keep PracticaCPD available 24/7 but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Brief outages may happen for maintenance, deploys, or issues with our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Netlify, Stripe). We don't offer service credits for outages on Free or Pro plans.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PracticaCPD's total liability to you under or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss — including lost CPD compliance, lost accreditation, lost income, or reputational harm — arising from your use of PracticaCPD.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify PracticaCPD against any third-party claim that arises from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or content you upload that infringes a third party's rights.

13. Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@practicacpd.com.au.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if we're required to by law, or if continued service would expose us to legal risk. Where practical we'll give you notice and a chance to remedy. On termination, your right to use the platform ends; we retain or delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the “last updated” date above and notify active users by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute about them.
